Challenge
Nexaform runs customer infrastructure across six cloud accounts spanning three providers. Each new account meant another site-to-site VPN, custom BGP peering, and a growing firewall rule set that nobody fully understood. Onboarding a new region took six to eight weeks, and cross-cloud service discovery relied on brittle IP allowlists that broke whenever workloads migrated.
Solution
The platform team deployed Kimox mesh nodes in every VPC and connected them with tag-based ACLs. Services now discover each other by stable mesh identity instead of CIDR blocks. Terraform modules declare mesh membership alongside the rest of their infrastructure, and MagicDNS gives every node a predictable hostname regardless of which cloud it runs in.
Results
Nexaform connected all six cloud accounts in three days — down from the eight-week average for a single region. Cross-cloud latency dropped 35% because traffic routes peer-to-peer instead of hairpinning through a central concentrator. The networking team retired four legacy VPN appliances and redirected that budget toward product engineering.
